Terms of Service

The agreement between you and IndexCyborg when you use the Service. Short where it can be, specific where it has to be.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and IndexCyborg (“we”, “us”) for the use of indexcyborg.com, the dashboard, the REST API, the MCP server and the Chrome extension (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept them. If you use the Service for a company, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to.

2. The Service

IndexCyborg automates parts of the search-indexing workflow for websites you control: discovering URLs from sitemaps, notifying search engines through IndexNow, retrieving index status from Google Search Console, requesting indexing through Search Console in your own browser session, running technical checks and reporting the results.

3. No indexing guarantee

Search engines alone decide whether and when to crawl, index or rank a page. IndexCyborg does not and cannot guarantee that any page will be crawled, indexed or ranked, or how quickly. An accepted IndexNow notification or a successful indexing request means the search engine received it, nothing more. The statuses we show are what search engines report, and they can be delayed or change.

4. Accounts

You need an account to use the dashboard. Give accurate information, keep your credentials safe and tell us at hi@indexcyborg.com if you suspect someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your API keys. You must be at least 16 years old.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • add websites you don't own or aren't authorised to manage, or try to get around domain verification;
  • use the Service to submit spam, deceptive pages or content that breaks search engines' guidelines;
  • try to exceed the limits described on our website, including Google's quotas and the Request indexing cap;
  • overload, probe or attack the Service, or use it to reach networks or systems you aren't allowed to;
  • resell or share access to the Service, or copy it to build a competing product;
  • use the Service in breach of any law.

6. Google and other services

The Service relies on third-party services, including Google Search Console and its APIs, IndexNow and the participating search engines. Your use of them stays subject to their own terms, such as Google's terms for Search Console. They can change, limit or stop their services at any time, and features of IndexCyborg that depend on them may change or stop working as a result. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. API keys and the Chrome extension

API keys give access to your data with the scopes you choose. Keep them secret; revoke a key in the dashboard if it leaks. Usage is rate-limited.

The Chrome extension acts in your browser, in your own Search Console session and with your permissions. You decide which properties it works on and when it runs. It never makes more than 10 indexing requests per property per 24 hours, and you remain responsible for using Search Console in line with Google's terms.

8. Plans and payment

Plans and their prices are listed on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew each billing period until you cancel. Page packs are one-time purchases: each new page the Service finds on your sites uses one page from your balance, as described on the pricing page, and unused pages don't expire. While the Service is in early access, nothing is billed and every account has Pro limits. Before we start charging, we will tell you the price and billing terms in advance, and nothing will be charged unless you choose a plan and enter payment details. Prices exclude taxes where taxes apply. Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.

9. Your data

You keep all rights to the data you bring to the Service. You give us permission to process it only to provide, secure and improve the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export it through the API and delete websites at any time.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service running but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or others at risk; where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Sections 3, 9, 12, 13 and 14 continue to apply after an account is closed.

12. Disclaimers

Apart from what these terms say explicitly, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost traffic, rankings, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, or 100 US dollars if that is more. These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law, such as for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where IndexCyborg is established. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.

15. Contact and changes to these terms

Questions about these terms go to hi@indexcyborg.com. If we change them, we update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
